Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description: The Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board (COMB) is beginning a long-term project of capital improvements to Cachuma Project facilities. This position will assist in all phases of the planning and implementation of these improvement projects. Responsibilities will include design, planning, inspection, project management, environmental review, and GIS development. This position will also assist in current operations including liaising between the public, contractors, federal, state and local governmental agencies and utilities in the operation and maintenance of COMB facilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, construction management or closely related field.
Agency Description: The Cachuma Operation & Maintenance Board (COMB) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Cachuma Project. The Cachuma Project consists of 26 miles of transmission pipeline ranging from 27 to 48-inch, four tunnel from 800 feet to 6 miles in length, and 4 regulating reservoir from 40 to 500 AF in capacity. These facilities supply a majority of the water to the 200,000 residents on the South Coast of Santa Barbara County.
Compensation: Annual Salary Range $48,350 - $58,000 plus Comprehensive Benefits package
