Board of Directors

COMB regular Board meetings are held immediately following the CCRB Board meetings at 2:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. The meetings are open to the public and are held in the COMB Board Room at 3301 Laurel Canyon Road, Santa Barbara, CA.

COMB's Board of Directors is composed of elected representatives from each of its Member Units. The current Directors are:

	Lauren Hanson, President Goleta Water District Lauren Hanson was elected to the Goleta Water District Board in 2008 and was appointed in that year to be the District's representative on the COMB Board. She is the chair of the Goleta Water District's Public Information and the UCSB Relations committees. Lauren also serves on the Water Management and Long-Range Planning committee for Goleta Water District. Lauren received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
	Bob Lieberknecht, Vice President Carpinteria Valley Water District Bob Lieberknecht has been the representative for Carpinteria Valley Water District (CVWD) on the Board of Directors of COMB since July 2000. He was elected to serve on the CVWD Board of Directors in 1995. Prior to his appointment he was employed as the General Manager of CVWD for 31 years. His career in the water industry began in 1959 after nine years in industrial positions ranging from design, purchasing, sales engineering and management. Bob is a life member of the American Water Works Association. Appointed by Governors Dukmejian and Wilson, he served nine years on the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. He has been a member of the Carpinteria Lions Club for 44 years, serves on the American Cancer Society Board of Santa Barbara and is a volunteer of the Braille Institute of Santa Barbara.
	W. Douglas Morgan, Director Montecito Water District Director Morgan was formally sworn in as a Montecito Water District Director at the Board's meeting of March 20, 2007. Doug was appointed as the representative from the Montecito Water District to serve on the COMB Board in January 2010. He brings a significant professional background in economics and water resources to the District. Doug retired in 2007 from UC Santa Barbara where he had been a Professor of Economics since 1967. He received degrees from UC Berkeley and UCLA. Doug and his wife have been residents of Montecito for over 30 years. He has been an adult leader for Boy Scout Troop 33 since 1978 and was instrumental in rebuilding the original Scout House at Manning Park into the current Youth Center. Doug serves on the Administrative Committee and the Public Outreach Committee for COMB.
	Dennis Beebe, Director SYR Conservation District, ID#1 Dennis Beebe was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District, Improvement District No. 1 in November 2010, where he currently serves as the Board President and as a member of the Reorganization and Legal Services Committees. As a COMB Board member he serves on the Fisheries and Public Outreach Committees. Dennis and his family have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley for almost 20 Years and he has been active in the local community. He is past President of the Boards of both the Santa Ynez Valley Natural History Society and Arts Outreach and currently serves as the Chair of his homeowners association water committee. Prior to his "retirement", Dennis completed a career with the Air Force and as an Engineering Management Consultant to the Aerospace Industry.
